If you are planning to stay over for a few days, there are a number of great hotels in the Elveden and Thetford area. There is the newly opened Travelodge in the center of town which is a great budget hotel and conveniently located for walking around the area. It also has a free car park if you are visiting by car.
For those seeking something more upmarket and with some fine dining there is the historic Thomas Paine Hotel a few doors away from Thetford Museum
